After a week of significant victories for Democrats, including the passage of the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package and the confirmation of several key cabinet nominees, President Joe Biden and his party were riding high. The case, Trump v. Vance, centered around an investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. into hush money payments made to two women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump.
